FOXWOODS ENGINEERING RATIFIES FIRST-EVER CONTRACT

Foxwoods Engineers ratified their first-ever contract Wednesday with a super majority vote of 187-41. This margin of victory has sent a loud and clear message that Local 30 and the Foxwoods Engineers are now a united unit. "Your committee members, Attorney John Fussell, Business Agent Anthony Calandrino, Organizer Gary Archer and the entire Engineering Department are to be commended for their hard work and dedication during the 10 months of negotiating," said Business Manager Jack Ahern. CONTRACT RATIFICATION VOTE

Please be advised that we are holding our contract ratification meeting/vote on Wednesday, October 26 on the 10th floor of the Grand Pequot Hotel in the Aspen Room.  Each meeting will begin with a question and answer session followed by the ratification vote. In order to be allowed into the meeting and to be eligible to vote, you must bring proper identification. The meetings will start promptly, so please be on time. Should you have any questions, please call Gary Archer directly at 917-680-0005.

• Contracts are at the printer and will be mailed out to ALL unit members Friday morning.  You should receive your copy in Saturday’s mail or at the latest Monday’s.
• In the event you did not receive your copy, Gary Archer will be on site Monday at some time during each shift to hand out copies. The time and location will be posted when the informatio is received.
• If you did not receive a contract by the end of the day on Monday, October 24, please call Gary Archer to arrange for him to get one to you.
• Should you have any questions at all about anything please call Gary Archer.
• Remember to bring I.D. with you when you come to vote.

UNION REACHES TENTATIVE AGREEMENT ON CONTRACT

Today Local 30, your negotiating committee and Foxwoods management reached tentative agreements on all contract proposals. Our next step is to have the attorneys review the entire document for errors. Then we will have copies printed and distributed to the unit for review prior to a meeting and a ratification vote. As those events transpire and the information becomes available we will let all of you know the details. In the meantime, if you have any questions at all, please contact your committee members or Gary Archer directly.
